The Seed Farm | Meet our Advisory Board!
In the Spotlight: Louis Cinquino
Check out our Q&A with Seed Farm Advisory Board member, Louis Cinquino!
Meet our Advisory Board
When did you originally join the board?
I’ve been a member of the Seed Farm board since 2013, then joined Community Action when our organizations merged in 2019.
Why did you choose to become a board member?
I’ve had a strong interest in sustainable agriculture and community gardening since my days at Rodale, where I was involved in the publishing business. Through the merger with Community Action, I was also able to pursue my interests in social justice, equity, and diversity in the Lehigh Valley.
What is your favorite part about being involved with The Seed Farm?
I enjoy seeing the new farmers getting their first crops in the fields and taking charge of their land. And, I am excited about the prospect of using the network of farmers and educators to help all local farmers have the opportunity to bring more fresh food to participants of food pantries in our region.
What do you like to do when you are not at work?
I love to play pick-up basketball, although Covid has put a damper on that for a bit. If anyone knows of a game that has room for an OG point guard, let me know! I’m also a writer and a runner and enjoy hiking, local theatre, and live music.
What is your life motto?
Live The Mulligan.
