FAQ

Should I donate food or funds?
Both food and funds help Second Harvest Food Drive.

Every $1 donation is the equivalent of 6 meals for those struggling with hunger. Monetary donations allow us to purchase bulk food to be repacked by volunteers. Because we make large, bulk purchases, our cost per pound of food is far lower than that of an individual buying food at retail prices. Monetary donations also keep our freezers running and our trucks on the road!

Food drives provide important variety and shelf stable goods to our network of member agencies. These types of food are always in high demand.

Do I need to let Second Harvest Food Bank know that I am having a Food & Fund Drive?
Yes! We would love to know about your drive so we can properly credit your donations and thank you. Please register your food and fund drive.

Where can I drop off food?
Food drive donations are accepted Monday – Thursday from 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM and until noon on Fridays. Donations can be dropped off at Second Harvest Food Bank located at 6969 Silver Crest Road Nazareth, PA 18064. No appointment necessary.
